Induction Ceremony

Presently the induction ceremony is held annually in the month of August, at a location to be determined. The inductees may use the ceremony for their acceptance speech and meet & greet and possible interviews. All of this will help bring public awareness to The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame.

Media products can become a significant contribution to the income and promotion of The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame. Sales of memorabilia can further aid in the media attention and possibly lead to radio and television interviews from all over the area.

Inductees attending and participating in the annual induction events arrive at the hotel in the evening. The dinner begins with a cash bar reception. The event is a black-tie-optional dress with a sit-down dinner. The public, media and supporters are invited to attend with the purchase of a dinner ticket. The paying supporters will be intermingled with the DayTony audience (seating limited to approximately 500).

Past inductees enjoy the privilege of hosting the Induction Ceremony introducing and presenting the new inductees in an award show format. The Executive Committee determines which past inductees will introduce each new inductee. The Executive Committee makes decisions of this nature on a per-case basis with each inductee.
