Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame
Established in 2002, the Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame was created to honor local theatre artists and patrons of the arts. It is designed to acknowledge people whose life-long participation, innovation and creativity have influenced the Dayton arts culture. The Hall of Fame recognizes their contributions to the arts by perpetuating their legacies.

The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame is created to be a memorial for the inducted artists, and is designed with the inducted artists in mind. Never before has an organization dedicated its efforts to unite the greatest theatre artists of Dayton, Ohio.

Further, the inductees contribute by being celebrity spokespersons and ambassadors of The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame. This representation to the public and press gives the Hall of Fame the greatest opportunity for exposure, promotion and public awareness.

Administration

The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame is operated and governed by the Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame Executive Committee consisting of the three founding members of the original organization. Upon the retirement of any existing Executive Committee Member, a call for volunteers will be made to fill the position. The executive committee will meet as necessary to perform necessary duties.

The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame is operated by volunteers and has been since its inception in 2003. Operational cost comes from the Hall of Fame Gala until such time when support from organizations, industry and the public can be developed to defray operating cost. The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame is a 501(c)3 Tax Exempt Organization.

Presently the Annual Induction Ceremony is the best hope of raising funds for The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame. At this time it cannot support the main costs and needs of the Hall of Fame operation. Many sources of fundraising still need be explored and developed. This ultimately is the most important aspect of survival for The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame. Donations are always needed and welcomed!
